Our bodies revert to compensation patterns when our alignment is off, meaning, our body needs a certain foundation to operate efficiently on.”

How does Optimal Health Solutions integrate physical therapy and life coaching to address both the physical and mental foundations of health?

Our bodies revert to compensation patterns when our alignment is off, meaning, our body needs a certain foundation to operate efficiently on. Our mind does the same. When we operate with inefficient thought processes, or abnormal movement patterns, we are in poor health. When these thought patterns and compensation patterns are identified, healthy physical and mental wellness are achieved.

“Every body that comes to see me has the same foundational flaws but each body is also different.”

Can you elaborate on your unique and intuitive methods of treatment that reject the “quick fix” approach commonly seen in traditional medicine?

A “quick fix” involve pharmaceuticals targeting the symptoms. My intuitive method combines myofascial release and joint realignment to get to the root cause of the body’s compensation patterns. Meaning, I target the larger structures to negate the pain caused at bystander joints (secondary joints that are designed to assist but not take the full work load). The knee is a bystander joint, and so is the low back. The midback is a primary joint. Target the primary joints to help out the bystander joints.

How do you personalize corrective exercise programs to ensure they effectively reinforce healthy movement and increase body awareness for each individual?

Every body that comes to see me has the same foundational flaws but each body is also different. It’s like the uniform children wear at school, they all have the same tops and same bottoms but each child can accessorize with jewelry, socks, hair ties, etc. The foundation is the same but the details are different. Understanding this allows me to provide personalized corrective exercise programs to ensure they effectively reinforce healthy movement and increase body awareness for each unique individual.

“When pain is at the forefront, body awareness takes a back seat. As the body heals and becomes better aligned, the correct signals will come through.”

What can participants expect to learn and achieve in your mobility workshops, and how do these workshops contribute to overall joint health and pliability?

During my mobility workshops, participants learn about the signals their body’s are giving them as we perform several movements to assess mobility. Corrective movements and techniques will be taught to increase mobility and with increased mobility, comes improved body awareness. By the end of the workshop, easier, more fluid movement will be felt.

How do you help clients develop a healthy body-mind connection, and why is this important for overall wellness?

When my clients start with me, they have impaired body awareness. When pain is at the forefront, body awareness takes a back seat. As the body heals and becomes better aligned, the correct signals will come through at the joints, allowing the body and mind to be better connected. My clients also learn how to ground in to further bring them back to their bodies.

Can you share some examples of how life coaching at Optimal Health Solutions has helped clients identify and break subconscious patterns to improve their mental and physical health?

Most clients who are seeking life coaching are missing something, they tend to be stuck in their own negative cycles, or thought process. As we converse, those patterns come to light, such as someone who is stuck in reasoning with their pain, instead of processing the anger behind it. Or someone who is stuck in denial when they need to grieve and process their sadness. We have a hard time breaking cycles, or unhealthy patterns of behavior/thought, but having that extra set of eyes helps bridge the gap for us.
