“Our mission from the beginning was to make bedding simpler and more comfortable.”

What inspired the founding of Sova, and how has the company’s mission evolved since its inception?

Sova was born out of sheer frustration with traditional bedding. My co-founder Garrett and I were constantly dealing with the same issues—top sheets slipping off the bed, wasting time each morning readjusting everything, and, of course, the notorious “sheet stealing” at night. We knew there had to be a better way, so we designed a solution: a combined fitted and top sheet set that stays in place. Our mission from the beginning was to make bedding simpler and more comfortable, and as we’ve grown, that mission has expanded to include sustainability while creating products that enhance people’s overall sleep quality.

“In the next decade, we envision Sova as a leader not just in bedding, but in the broader sleep industry.”

How does Sova differentiate itself from other companies in the sleep industry, and what unique value does it offer to its customers?

Sova stands out in the sleep industry by addressing real, tangible problems that other brands often overlook. While many competitors are locked in a race to claim the softest or coolest sheets, we’ve taken a step back to solve the everyday frustrations people face with their bedding.
Our patented One Sheet design tackles issues that plague many sleepers:
1. Sheet theft between partners
2. Tangled bedding disrupting sleep
3. Time-consuming bed-making process
4. Difficulty maintaining a neat, wrinkle-free bed
By combining the fitted and top sheet into one integrated system, we’ve eliminated these pain points. No more wrestling with multiple layers or waking up uncovered because your partner pulled the sheets away.
Additionally, we’ve simplified the morning routine. With the One Sheet, making the bed is a quick, effortless task, giving our customers more time for what truly matters.
While we’ve focused on solving these practical problems, we haven’t compromised on comfort. Our 100% viscose from organic bamboo fabric competes with the best in terms of softness and temperature regulation. We offer these qualities alongside real, functional improvements to the sleep experience.
Sova isn’t just selling sheets; we’re offering a solution to common bedding frustrations while maintaining the luxury feel and eco-friendly materials that discerning customers expect. This problem-solving approach, combined with premium quality, is what truly sets Sova apart in the crowded sleep industry.

Can you share some insights into the research and development process behind Sova’s products? How do you ensure they meet the highest standards of quality and effectiveness?

We began with a simple idea to combine the top and fitted sheets but we realized that execution mattered even more. We worked with textile experts and spent months testing different fabrics and designs to perfect the final product. We worked extensively with one manufacture before realizing they could not produce the quality our product required. Eventually, we found a great manufacturing partner up to our quality and ethical standards. We opted for bamboo viscose after testing it against other materials because it excelled in comfort, breathability and sustainability. It really is the best fabric on the market right now in my opinion. Lastly, each set is washed and inspected for quality before folding and shipping them to us.

What are the biggest challenges Sova faces in the current market, and how are you addressing them to ensure continued growth and success?

Our main challenge has been standing out in a saturated bedding market. There are a few companies promoting various bedding solutions. It can be difficult for consumers to differentiate between products, not to mention the countless less-innovative bed sheet brands. We’re addressing this by focusing on our unique patented design and the real, everyday problems it solves—keeping your sheets in place, keeping you cool, stopping your partner from stealing the sheets and saving you time when making and assembling your bed . We’ve also prioritized building a community of loyal customers who appreciate our innovation and sustainability, and word-of-mouth has been one of our strongest growth drivers.

How does Sova incorporate customer feedback into its product development and business strategy? Can you provide an example of a change or innovation that resulted from customer input?

We are always looking for feedback to help us grow as a business! In fact, customer input is the reason we included a wash bag with every sheet set. A lot of customers were concerned about how to properly care for such a large, connected piece of fabric. By adding the wash bag, we made the laundry process easier and also ensured that the sheets would last longer. It was a simple but important innovation that was a direct response to what our customers were telling us.

What are your long-term goals for Sova, and how do you envision the company evolving over the next five to ten years?

In the next decade, we envision Sova as a leader not just in bedding, but in the broader sleep industry. We want to continue expanding our range of products while maintaining our focus on comfort and convenience. We’re also excited about the possibility of entering new markets and bringing “The One Sheet” to more retail stores and customers worldwide. Our long-term vision includes becoming a trusted brand that people turn to when they think about improving their sleep quality and bedroom experience.
