A Milestone Moment: Elinor Perry’s Vision For Growth Shines Bright In Nuvo Acquisition

Elinor Perry celebrates a significant milestone by joining forces with Nuvo. Her 20 years leading Pentlands brings the firm new opportunities, enhanced services, and expanded resources for thriving business clients.

uvo, one of the UK’s fastest-growing accountancy firms, has announced its expansion into Warwickshire with the acquisition of Pentlands Accountants and Advisors. The deal, a seven-figure buyout, marks Nuvo’s 34th acquisition in 21 years as the Derby-based firm continues its ambitious growth strategy. Last year, Nuvo was ranked #73 in the UK’s Top 100 Accountancy Firms and has set its sights on breaking into the top 25 by 2030.

Pentlands, a 28-year-old firm based in Warwick, has a strong track record of supporting SMEs and micro-businesses, a core focus shared by Nuvo. This acquisition brings together two firms with similar values and business goals, creating a perfect synergy to better serve their clients, according to both parties.

For Elinor Perry, the owner and managing partner of Pentlands, the deal represents both a significant professional milestone and a transformative business decision. Perry, who celebrated her 20th anniversary leading the firm last year, noted the opportunities this partnership would bring. “This acquisition strengthens our ability to deliver exceptional service to our clients. Being part of a larger organisation with extensive resources allows us to help businesses grow on a much larger scale,” she said.

Perry emphasized that the company’s values and culture align seamlessly with Nuvo’s, citing the co-branding approach and continued focus on client relationships. She assured clients that it will remain “business as usual” under the Pentlands name, with the same team delivering services from their existing Pegasus Court offices. The team, consisting of nine full and part-time staff and servicing over 250 clients, has transitioned to Nuvo’s four-day working week and a new 5% Employee Benefit Trust, which rewards employees for their contribution to the firm’s success.

Steve Sharp, Founder and CEO of Nuvo, spoke about the acquisition, stating: “It’s great to welcome Elinor and her team to the Nuvo Group. From the outset, it was clear that Pentlands shared our culture, values, and modern, people-focused approach. Pentlands’ reputation in the region is strong, and that’s why we’re co-branding to maintain their presence while offering clients access to our broader expertise and services.”

The acquisition is part of Nuvo’s broader strategic expansion to enhance its national presence and offer a comprehensive range of accountancy, tax, audit, and advisory services. Named the fastest-growing accountancy firm in 2025, Nuvo’s growth plan builds on its commitment to support UK businesses through innovative practices and client-centric services.

For Perry, who executed a management buyout in 2005 and later became the sole owner in 2010, the sale of Pentlands marks the end of a remarkable chapter in her career. Reflecting on the journey, she shared, “Having assisted so many business owners in similar transitions, I know how personal and emotional this process can be. After two decades, it was vital that I found the right home for our team and clients as I transition into a new role within Nuvo.”

This acquisition signals a new era for Pentlands and its clients, as the firm continues to deliver trusted expertise while leveraging Nuvo’s vast national resources.
