What inspired you to start N3xus Global, and how did you develop the vision to reintegrate ex-offenders into society through employment and development programs?
The inspiration for N3xus Global came from recognising the devastating cycle of reoffending and the strain it places on individuals, families, and society as a whole. I wanted to create a solution that went beyond short-term fixes to deliver lasting impact. The vision was shaped by conversations with criminal justice experts, business leaders, and communities, who all highlighted the transformative power of stable employment. Jobs don’t just provide financial security—they rebuild confidence, restore dignity, and create a sense of purpose, whilst helping people re-enter society we are also focusing on reducing the skills shortage across a variety of sectors.
Can you share some of the innovative technologies N3xus Global is leveraging to reduce recidivism, and how these technologies are making a difference in the lives of ex-offenders?
We use cutting-edge AI and data-driven tools to tackle recidivism in a smarter way. For example, our AI-driven analytics help us identify individuals who are most at risk of reoffending and design customised support plans for them. Our systems also track progress in real time, allowing us to adjust programmes and maximise their impact. One of our most innovative tools is a mental health dataset we’ve built through our work in prisons. It helps us address the root causes of reoffending, such as untreated mental health issues. These technologies ensure ex-offenders get the tailored support they need while helping employers create workplaces that set them up for long-term success.
As the Director of Intend Group for the Americas, how do you balance your work in design and infrastructure with your mission at N3xus Global, and what synergies exist between these roles?
Both roles are about creating sustainable solutions that benefit people and the economy. My work in infrastructure ties directly into N3xus Global’s mission because infrastructure projects often face skills shortages—something ex-offenders can help address through targeted employment programmes. By aligning the two, I can create opportunities for individuals while helping businesses meet their workforce needs. Balancing these roles comes down to strategic planning and leveraging shared goals. For example, we design workforce development initiatives that integrate training and employment pipelines, so they benefit both communities and industries.
How does N3xus Global measure the success of its programs in terms of reducing recidivism and supporting the long-term success of ex-offenders?
We measure success using both data and personal stories. On the numbers side, we track things like reduced reoffending rates, cost savings to the justice system, and the economic contributions of our participants, such as taxes and income. For example, one of our UK programmes cut recidivism from 64% to 23%, saving millions in costs and helping participants collectively earn millions in wages. On a personal level, we look at how lives are changing—whether participants feel more confident, reconnect with their families, or find a sense of belonging in their communities. These insights help us continually improve what we do.
Can you discuss some of the key partnerships N3xus Global has formed with governments, businesses, and communities, and how these collaborations contribute to the company’s mission?
Partnerships are at the heart of what we do. Governments help us access tax incentives and grants that make our programmes financially sustainable. Businesses, especially in sectors like infrastructure, provide job opportunities for ex-offenders while benefiting from a steady workforce. Community organisations are essential for offering wraparound support like housing and mental health services. One standout example is our work with Blu-3 under the Ultimate Impact Plan, which shows how businesses can seamlessly integrate social impact into their operations while meeting their own goals. These collaborations enable us to scale our impact and create a real, lasting difference.
What are some of the challenges N3xus Global faces in expanding its operations across the UK, EU, and US, and how do you plan to overcome them to enhance the company’s impact?
Expanding globally comes with challenges like navigating different legal systems, securing funding, and adapting to cultural differences in how reoffending and rehabilitation are addressed. In the US, for instance, high incarceration costs make it a key market, but building trust with local partners takes time. To overcome these challenges, we focus on localising our approach—partnering with organisations that understand the region and tailoring our programmes to meet their unique needs. Strong government relationships and a scalable tech-driven model also allow us to adapt quickly and expand sustainably.
How do you ensure that the leadership at N3xus Global aligns with and effectively communicates the company’s vision of reintegrating ex-offenders into society?
Leadership alignment starts with having a shared sense of purpose. Everyone on our leadership team believes in the power of second chances and the value of turning challenges into opportunities. We ensure alignment through regular strategy meetings, clear communication of our goals, and consistent engagement with our teams and partners. We also lead by example, demonstrating how our vision translates into real-world impact. Open dialogue and a strong sense of accountability keep us all focused on the bigger picture.
What is your long-term vision for N3xus Global, and how do you plan to adapt the company’s strategies to meet future challenges and opportunities in the field of social reintegration and economic development?
The long-term vision is to create a world where everyone, regardless of their past, has the opportunity to build a better future. We aim to become a global leader in rehabilitation and reintegration, using technology and partnerships to make reducing recidivism not just a moral priority but an economic imperative. As challenges arise—whether they’re societal, economic, or technological—we’ll stay adaptable by investing in innovation and maintaining strong collaborations with governments, businesses, and communities. By continuing to align our mission with real-world needs, we can ensure N3xus Global remains impactful and relevant. Ultimately, we want N3xus Global to serve as a model for how businesses can drive both social change and economic growth, proving that helping ex-offenders succeed is not just the right thing to do—it’s also a smart, sustainable business strategy.
